Overview

Adding students is one of the most fundamental operations in MartialFlow. This guide will walk you through the complete process of adding your first student, from basic information to class enrollment and family setup.

Prerequisites

  • You have Director, Administrator, or Instructor permissions
  • Your school profile is set up with basic information
  • You have created at least one class for student enrollment
  • You have your school's belt system configured

Quick Start: Adding a Student

Method 1: Quick Add from Dashboard

  1. From your Dashboard, click "Quick Actions"
  2. Select "Add Student"
  3. This opens the streamlined student creation form

MartialFlow organizes students under "Customer" accounts that represent families:

Customer Account Creation

  1. Existing Family

    • If this student has siblings already in the system
    • Search for existing customer/family
    • Add student to existing family account
  2. New Family

    • Creates a new customer account for this family
    • Sets up billing and communication preferences
    • Establishes primary contact relationships

Parent/Guardian Information

  1. Primary Contact

    • Usually a parent or guardian
    • Receives all official communications
    • Has billing responsibility
  2. Secondary Contact (Optional)

    • Second parent or emergency contact
